Are our Wave Systems video player digital signage player?

How do they compare to Brightsign?

This is a common question, we are asked. Waves System player fall very well into the category of digital signage player, event though they have features, which are designed for the museum, theme park and gallery market. But web access, Java script functions, remote administration, remote content up and download, plus Wavespark, make these player clear digital signage player.

Waves System has also a very distict range of audio only player for a myriad of applications, ranging from security, PA to music and broadcast.

Do we compare Waves System to Brightsign? Every brand has its pro and con’s. Brightsign has some lower cost player, while Waves System has some features which covers even the lighting and show control aspects. It is up to the user to decide whats suits him best.

For example many customers commented on the need of re-authoring content. Waves System does NOT have this requirement. MP4 and MP5 (Matroska) can be played as they come.

Another question is commonly about programming and control integration.

Waves System player can be used as easy as possible or integrated into the most complex playback systems or interactive programs. All facilities are build into the players.

This means, you can easily take a player out of a box, take a USB stick. Set-up a folder, call it 000 Folder 1 and place your video into it.

The folder automatically will loop and play back your medium. You can control it also with the supplied IR control.

This is as basic as its get. From here, of course, there are plenty of options.

Reliabilty. The players are designed for 24/7 operation and come with a 3 year warranty.
